The Phuket 10s and a surprise from a Welshman

Well here we are back in Bangkok for one last night before we head to Beijing tomorrow courtesy of Egypt Air (should be interesting!). Post Flight Update - Egypt Air may be cheap, not bad service, but they are very DRY - you have been warned!

We survived the Phuket Tens and had a riot. Bryan played in 3 matches for the Piggies who are a great bunch it has to be said. They were unfortunately knocked out in their first match on the second day (Plate Q.Final).

It was good to see some familiar faces - Kath and John from Abu Dhabi, Mark, Ros and Sian from Al Ain, Dan Talbot from Dubai and Alex (formerly of Dubai). But the biggest and most welcome event of all was a surprise special guest appearance by none other than Mr Kevin Jones (our old boss from Hyder in the Middle East) who stopped over for a night on the way through to NZ. It was good to see him in fine form.

We would also like to extend our best wishes to those members of the Dubai Exiles Rugby Club who are currently residing at his majesties pleasure. Fore!

Last minute preparations are the order of the day today. One last Tom Yam Gung for me and fried rice and chicken for Mr B!
